REMOVE WAX STAINS

Candles are a symbol of tradition but they are also a great way to create a cozy atmosphere at home. When the wax drips, it can sometimes make a mess on our fabrics… But don’t worry, here are our tips for removing candle wax from table linens and clothing.

Before we begin, here are the necessary elements to follow our guide:

  • A butter knife or a spoon
  • blotting paper, paper towel or absorbent cloth
  • Accord Infini liquid detergent
  • An iron

STEP 1: LET DRY THEN SCRAPE AWAY THE WAX

At first, don’t panic! On the contrary, it is better to let the wax dry on the fabric, it will be easier to remove. Once the wax is dry, place the fabric on a flat surface and remove the large drops of wax with a butter knife or spoon. This will leave very little wax in the fibers of the fabric.

STEP 2: ABSORB WAX RESIDUE

To remove the wax embedded in the fibers, place a blotting paper or an absorbent cloth on the remaining stains. Set your iron on low heat without steam and pass it over the paper or absorbent cloth. The heating action of the iron will melt the wax residue which will then be absorbed by the paper or absorbent cloth.
Remove the paper or absorbent cloth: the wax should be gone!
Repeat as needed, using a clean cloth or paper towel for each wax stain until the desired result is achieved.

STEP 3: THE FINAL TOUCH

To finish off this rescue, machine wash the item with Accord Infini liquid detergent for a delicate and unique scent on your textiles.
Now you can enjoy your candles without fear!
