La politique deThe personal data protection policy described below details the rights and obligations of Marine Coton and Customers for the use of data as well as information relating to cookies. It supplements the General Conditions posted on the Website.

Marine Coton employs all the means to guarantee the protection and the confidentiality of the data collected near the Customer on the Website.

The collection of personal data is necessary in particular for the management of the orders on the website (Hereafter: “Website”) or at the time of the exchanges by email, mail or telephone with the Customer.

In the case where the Customer would not inform the required information, Marine Coton could be in the incapacity to follow up the request or the Order. The other fields known as “optional” allow Marine Coton to improve services. They are left with the discretion of the Customer who can choose to supplement them or not.

The information collected concerning the Customer can be transmitted to technical service providers or subcontractors of Marine Coton. The Customer has the possibility of refusing to transmit his personal data to a third, knowing that this refusal could give place to an incapacity to treat his/her Order.

The information that Marine Coton will have to collect are:

  • The identity of the Customer,
  • The Customer contact details (email address, postal address, telephone…),
  • The personal preferences of navigation on the Website such as the language,
  • Data related to the follow-up of Orders and purchase invoices,
  • Data communicated to the customer service,
  • The Customer’s bank details when placing an order on the Website.

  • To manage Customer participation in events,

  • To respect legal obligations, in particular fiscal obligations with the conservation of purchase invoices,
  • Manage and respect the Cosmeto-vigilance with regard to the EU Regulation 1223/2009 of November 30, 2009 on cosmetic products.

The payments are carried out via a platform of protected payment to ensure the safety of the purchases carried out on and to fight against the fraud.

In the case where a risk of fraud is detected, Marine Coton is able to ask and analyze additional supporting documents before sending the Order. If the received documents do not make it possible to confirm the safety of the Order, this one will be cancelled. Marine Coton will preserve the additional supporting documents until the payment by the bank of the Customer.

The personal data Customer are treated by the following people:

  • Internally, by Marine Coton staff,
  • External technical hosting and website maintenance providers,
  • External providers of online payment services,
  • The external providers of prevention against the fraud,
  • The external logistic and transport providers,
  • Social networks when you accept the deposit of cookies,
  • The external providers of organization of events.

Marine Coton determined the duration of conservation of the data by respecting the legal obligations as well as the recommendations of the National Commission Informatique et Libertés (CNIL).

In accordance with the general regulation on the data protection, the Customer has a right of access, of correction, erasure, limitation, portability, opposition and withdrawal of any given consent concerning his personal information. Any parameter setting of the navigator by the Customer could involve the modification even the deterioration of navigation on the Website. In this case, Marine Coton declines any responsibility.
