CARING FOR WOOL FABRICS
Wool garments are appreciated for their warmth, softness and elegance. However, they require specific care to maintain their appearance and quality over time.
STEP 1 : WASHING
When it comes to washing your wool garments, it’s best to hand wash rather than machine wash. Use lukewarm or cold water and your Accord Infini detergent, which is gentle and won’t damage your clothes. Avoid rubbing or wringing clothes, as this can distort them. Rinse them thoroughly and gently squeeze out excess water without wringing them out.
STEP 2 : DRYING
Wool garments should be dried flat. Avoid hanging garments, as this can cause distortion. Lay the garment out on a clean towel and let it air dry, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
STEP 3 : STORAGE
When storing your wool garments, make sure they are clean and dry. Avoid folding them, as this can create permanent creases. Instead, store them flat or use padded hangers to preserve their shape. Protect them from moths by using lavender sachets or cedar balls in your wardrobe.
STEP 4 : IRONING
Wool tends to crease easily, but avoid using an iron that’s too hot, as this can burn the fibers. Set your iron to a low temperature and avoid standing on certain parts of the garment for too long. Iron gently using slow, even strokes.
STEP 5 : ADDITIONAL CARE
To care for your wool garments, you can also brush them regularly with our reusable lint brush to remove hair and dust.
For small stains, use a clean, damp cloth to gently dab them. Finally, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent discoloration.
